"Cute Little Handbag"
Part Two of My April DT Reveal For
Maja Design

Hello Maja fans, thanks for stopping by. Today I have a rather cute little handbag that
I made to show you. It is actually a gift bag. Isn't is just so sweet?  I made it using
the "1903" paper from the "Vintage Summer Basics" collection for the base of the bag & then
trimmed it using "7th of April" paper from the "Vintage Spring Basics" collections.
I have also made a VIDEO TUTORIAL to go with it.

TO VIEW VIDEO CLICK HERE....

I created a handmade flower & this delightful little bow using the
"7th of April paper - Vintage Spring Basics". This delightful stripe paper is actually
the reverse side of the spotty "7th of April" paper.

When I made the little paper flower I also cut some tuille netting with my die cut
machine to layer in between the paper petals & finished it off with a few pearl stamens.

This photo shows how it looks when open. Just a perfect size for a small gift &
so very novel too. Lastly I finished  it off with a small four inch square doiley I cut
out of some white cardstock. You could also write a greeting on this doiley as well.

My 2Crafty Chipboard March DT Reveal - Part Two
& Prima BAP Challenge
"Mia"

Hi there friends, thanks for stopping by the blog.
Today I have part two of my March DT reveal, for 2Crafty Chipboard.
It features my sweet little grandaughter Mia.

I have based it on the current BAP challenge over on the Prima blog.
I rotated the sketch 90 degrees & took some artistic liberties too!!!
I pulled out every autumn tone prima flower I had & I think I
have put them all on the this layout. I just love flowers. :)
This floral vines I have used unfortunately is no longer available,
I think were were called "song bird vine" because of the little birds.
Full list of Prima products used at bottom of this post.

Dandelions
Fine Heart Borders
Loopy Heart Frames
Mia - title...(custom made)

I have used this gorgeous "Loopy Heart Frame" to showcase my pics.
I used some bronze metallic acrylic paint followed by a little wipe
over with some gold ink to achieve this look.

I have created my background using Gelatos.

Next up I have used these chippie "Dandelions", these are one of my favourite
pieces. These were treated with some brown mica powder followed by a few
dabs of gold ink wiped over & then finished off with some crushed glitter
glass on the ends.

Here you can see a couple of pieces of the new "Fine Heart Borders" sticking
our from beneath the photos. These are gorgeous, so very fine.
These were treated the same as the "Dandelions".

Lastly I have finished off with a custom cut title, "Mia" which was also treated
the same as the other pieces. I think having her name as my title is the icing on the cake.

Some Of My 2Crafty Chipboard April DT Creations
PLUS A VIDEO TUTORIAL
"Amaze Yourself"

Hi there paper peeps, thanks for stopping by the blog.
Today I have a layout & a VIDEO TUTORIAL to share with you
as part of my April DT work for 2Crafty Chipboard

This layout, features yours truly !!!! I took theses pics a couple of months
ago because I needed some "selfies" for a scrapbook challenge. I had to take about
fifty to get half a dozen decent ones & these are some of the left overs.
Thought I may as well use them up !!!
I have created a VIDEO TUTORIAL on my creative process.

To view my
VIDEO TUTORIAL

2Crafty Chipboard Used..
Amaze Yourself - title
6" Skeleton Clock Frames Set
2016 Date
Berry Branch

Behind the photos I have used two of the "Skeleton Clock Frames" & the third one
I have used on the bottom right side of the page. These were all just coloured
with a black ink pad. Too easy.

The "Berry Branch" was just painted white & then I dabbed on some
"Stickles" to add some glitter to it, although it is really hard to see here in the pics.

For both the "Amaze Yourself" title & the "2016" date were both
given a coat of white acrylic paint. Next I brushed on two coats of the same
pink mist I had used on the background so that it would all tie in & then lastly
I also finished it off with some more icicle "Stickles".
The whole glitter thing is back in fashion girls. Yeah !!!

Well thats all for today, I hope you take the time to watch my video.

Until next time

Some More Maja Design DT Work
"A Moment Captured"

Hello friends, thanks so much for dropping by. Today I have another new layout to share
with you as part of my April DT work for Maja Designs using some papers from the
Vintage Summer Basics collection. I used the "1914" paper for my background & then
added this delightful striped one from the Vintage Spring Basics called, "4th April" to
both the top & bottom edges.
Even though it is a different collection, I think it works great.

I have also made a handmade flower to add to my flower cluster above the photo, using
the same stripe "4th April" paper. I really like adding some handmade flowers in the
same papers as my layout to add extra accents to the page, plus it gives it a more
custom made look I think.

All of these gorgeous chipboard pieces I have used are from 2Crafty Chipboard.

Lots of mixed media on my background & the Maja papers are just perfect for this because
they are so beautifully thick they handle it so well without warping etc.

On my background I have also added lots of stamping, fibers, micro beads in both
blues & silver, pearls, pearl sprays & finished of with lots of flowers.

I really was in texture heaven doing this layout. :)

These are the four Maja Design papers I used from their Vintage Summer Basics collection.

Until next time.

My April More Than Words DT Reveal
"Somewhere Over The Rainbow"

Hi there paper friends. Thanks for stopping by.
Today I have my April DT reveal for the new challenge over at
This is the new April challenge board.

I have called my layout "Somewhere Over The Rainbow"
in dedication to my beautiful "Poppy" girl who sadly passed away back in 2012.
The word ESCAPE is what she did, she escaped her poor old tired & sick body.

Here is a little poem that some of you may know,
about loosing a much loved pet.....

"BEYOND THE RAINBOW"
"As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played,
I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade
I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free

Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.
I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, and on the other side
Were meadows rich and beautiful - lush and green and wide
And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see
Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be
My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new
And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do
I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright
That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright glow pierced the night
"Twas the glow of many candles, shining bright and strong and bold
And I knew then that it held your love in it's brilliant shades of gold.
For although we may not be together in the way we used to be
We are still connected by a cord no one else can see
So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart
If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart".
