My 2Crafty Chipboard June DT Reveal
A Touch of Vintage
Combined with a Challenge at Berry71Bleu Challenge Blog
"Family" - My Mum & Me

Hi there paper friends, thanks for calling by.
Today I wanted to share this layout which is currently up on the
2Crafty blog & is part of my May DT work.

I have taken inspiration from the current May challenge over at
Berry71Bleu Challenge Blog.
This month is all about Mothers. Here is their moodboard.

I thought I would do a vintage layout using this photo of my Mother & myself.
Gee I must be getting old when my baby photo is considered "vintage" !!

2Crafty Chipboard Used

For my title I have used this little mini word, "family".  2Crafty make lots of
different ones. They are perfect when you just need little words.
Here I have layered it on top of their "Sybills Frame".

After first applying a coat of gesso to all my chippie pieces, I then coloured
the "Mini Family Word" with a couple of coats of Distress Stain, followed by
some "Crackle Accents". I like the way the Crackle Accents looks on the chippie word.

All the "Leafy Rounds" & the "LeaftySchrub Set #2" where all painted with a coat of
metallic acrylic paint, followed by a coat of Shimmerz Inklingz. I do love the effect it gives.

I had also blobbed on some texture paste on some of this foliage
to create some nice texture before I commenced  painting.

I cut the "Leafy Rounds" into pieces and poked them in amongst my flowers.

I have to admit that the "Leafy Shrub Set" is one of my favourite chippie
pieces, just the perfect thing to add in amongst your flowers.

Well thats all for today. Back soon with some more 2Crafty creations.
Until next time.

Another Kit I Designed for
The Scrapbook Diaries

Hi there friends, thanks for stopping by. Today I have my second kit that I designed for
The Scrapbook Diaries to share with you.
Now available HERE.

Besides having an amazing online STORE, they also sell Designer Kits
and have a very inspiring BLOG too.

There are no subscriptions to anything. You just visit the store & choose what
page kit you want, & as I mentioned, as well as enough materials to create TWO
layouts you also get the step X step video as well. So you actually get two layouts
for the price of one. You can also choose from different options, such as the full kit
that will include EVERYTHING, or a couple of other options that include less
items in case you already have some of the things.

I have created a super easy but very effective mixed media background that when you watch the
video tutorial that comes with the kit I just know you will be pleased with the outcome.

.  I have used lots of beautiful 2Crafty Chipboard including this
12" Tahnyas Border
Multi Pack of Mini Flourishes
All of these come with the kit.
The Scrapbook Diaries carry lots of 2Crafty chippies in their store too.
I just looove that little birds nest !!

As always this kit contains lots of gorgeous flowers.

Just a little bit of "fussy cutting" out to poke in here & there.

Some stencilling & stamping also adds to the whole mixed media feel.
Hope you like it. It is now available to purchase as a kit from
The Scrapbook Diaries
but be quick as their kits sell really fast.
Well thats all for today. Until next time.

Guest Designing With the 2Crafty Chipboard D.T. Girls At
Off The Rails Challenge Blog
"Enjoy Today"

Hi there paper peeps. Today I have a layout I created for the latest challenge over at
 "Off the Rails Scrapping".
Some of us DT girls from  2Crafty Chipboard are their guests  this
month as 2Crafty are their major sponsor for May.
Let the FUN begin.
Off the Rails May Moodboard

Now I have to say when I saw these colours I freaked out just a bit
because they are colours I wouldn't normally use, BUT, I have to say
that once I got started I absolutely loooove this colour pallette.

2Crafty Chipboard Used

I thought this title was perfect for this layout. The title, butterflies & arrows were all
simply painted in white acrylic paint but I then added some "Diamond Dust" to
the butterflies for a touch of sparkle.

I do so love these polaroid frames layered up like this & because you get
a whole lot of different sizes in the pack it makes it easy to do. I simple
painted them with acrylic paints & then wiped them over with a little
silver Inka Paste to achieve this look.

All these little arrows I have used came out of the Mini Fast Forward Arrows pack.

Lots of mixed media on my background , stamping, micro beads & sequins for even more textures.

Well thats all for today & I hope you can join in this months challenge over at
Off The Rails Blog.
Until next time.

Kraft + Plus May Challenge

Hi there paper friends, thanks for calling by.
Today I have a rare layout that was,  "just for fun". Had some free time & I saw the
current challenge over at Kraft Plus + . It has been soooo long since I entered a challenge
& I have to say, I really enjoyed it. So much so, I made & VIDEO too.

Kraft Plus May Moodboard

Love these colours combined with the kraft background.
I took my inspiration from the colours, flowers & the string.

I don't often do boy layouts but a few weeks back I had to do three for some DT work
& it has got me inspired to re visit boys pages again.

I was really happy with the "Faux" rust look I achieved on these chippie cogs.
All the details are in the video.

Naturally all the chipboard I have used is from
Cheeky - title
Large Cogs & Gears
Chain Lengths
6" Skeleton Clock Frames

Lots of paint splatters & stamping.

Lots of metal.

Cogs, buttons & Flairs.

This is actually a good photo showing the faux rusty metal finish I did on the cogs.
Well thats all for today.
I do hope you take the time to watch my VIDEO
& while there I would love you to subscribe to my You Tube channel.
Until next time.

My Scrap Around the World May DT Reveal
EPIC Anniversary Celebrations
"This Is You"

Hi there friends, thanks for calling by.
Today we have our May "EPIC ANNIVERSARY' challenge reveal at
This month is their second birthday & so they have soooo many wonderful things
happening as well as twenty plus prizes, worth  $100 each !!!!!
Thats over $2000 worth of prizes.
 WOW that is pretty special.

Pop over to their blog & check our what all the DT have done to inspire you.

This is their May Moodboard

it's up to you to be inspired any which way, but PLEASE LET
US KNOW HOW YOU WERE INSPIRED unless it is extremely obvious!

I took my inspiration firstly from the colours, but also the flowers
as well as the sprinkles around the glass inspired me to use sequins
& pearls sprinkled around my page.

As always I used some lovely 2Crafty chipboard pieces
including this title, "This is You" as well as this beautiful
"Parisian Border".

I have used lots of beautiful flowers inspired by the moodboard.

Lots of textures. too.

I am really fond of this background with all the little pieces of
lace poking through the paper.

Well thats it from me today. I do hope you find time to play along with us over at
Scrap Around the World this month & be inspired by our moodboard in some way.
Until next time.
