Color Combos Galore Challenge #237
"Cherish"

I have just finished my layout for the current challenge #237 over at
With just one day to spare!!!

As soon as I saw this colour combo I just had to join in.
Now I haven't played along in a long while so I hope I
have got it all right !!!!!
I have "Focused on  challenge #1" for inspiration".
I have featured die cutting....
(Butterfly, tiny leaves & mini doilies)

As well I have included lots of flowers & clusters & for the metal
component I have added a little zipper pull.

Lots of background work with various mediums, paintwork,
distressing & stamping.

All of my chipboard is from 2 Crafty chipboard & most of these
gorgeous flowers & leaves are from Green Tara of course
with the exception of just one.

Well thats all for today. I do hope I got all of the criteria
correct. I did get a little confused with it.
Until next time.
Happy Easter.

My CSI Challenge #64 Layout
"Love Who You Are"

Hello everyone, thanks for calling by.
I have just finished my layout for challenge #64 for CSI
Looooove these colours, green, especially these shades, are my
all time favourite colour.

First up for my "TESTIMONY" I have journaled on a big
long kraft tag I made & I have simply tucked it in behind my layers
at the top. I used the "verbs" list. Love this list.
I think most of us are guilty of using the same words over & over
in our jounalling & I found this list to be a great help in changing it up a bit.

For my "EVIDENCE" I have used six things.
1.  Birds
2. Stamps
3.  Words (as embellies)
4.  Circles (cogs)
5.  Fabric (Hessian Tie)
6. Leaves

Lots of beautiful Green Tara flowers & leaves.

This beautiful word "LOVE" is one of the new titles from
2 Crafty chipboard, as is the "2012"  & the  little "Cogs & Gears" too.

Well that pretty much wraps up another case file.
Thanks for looking.
Until next time.

My "Once Upon A Sketch" Layout
"Party Time"

Hello everyone, hope you are all having a great week.
I have just finished my layout for this months challenge

Here is the sketch for this month & the theme is
"It's the Weekend".

So what happens on the weekend for this little one is
having fun & going to lots of birthday parties.
This photo is a friend of mines
Grandaughter.  Although you cannot really see
in the photos, she has the sweetest pink tutu on & her
gorgeous hat with that great big flower.
The perfect party outfit for any little girl.

I have written a  story all about the day & I have
folded it up & put it in this little envelope, & simply
tucked it in under the side edge of the photo.

I wanted to make my layout  super girly & feminine to continue
the theme of her girlie outfit.
Lots of Green Tara flowers of course.

I have given my background a treatment which I learnt in a
class I went to the other week with the famous
Finnibair.  Little bits of different lace tucked into little
gaps in the paper here & there.
Again all these different laces are also from

All of my chipboard including the title & chicken wire,
are from 2 Crafty chipboard.

Lots of misting, stamping & distressing too.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Until next time.

Part Two of My 2 Crafty DT Reveal
"No Photos Please"

Hi there , thanks for calling by.
Today I have the second half on my DT reveal for 2 Crafty chipboard.
I am so far behind this month, this should have been posted
on my blog days ago !!!
So lets get straight into it.
A rare boy page for me. This is a friends grandson,
he looks so cute.

I have used one of the hundreds on 2 Crafty chipboard page titles.
"NO PHOTOS PLEASE".
I thought it summed these photos up perfectly.

Next up I have used one of the 2 Crafty 12" NESTED COG SETS
These come all nested on one sheet in loads of different sizes,
they are just perfect for boy layouts.
I have painted them up to look metallic.
To find out what I have actually done to get this effect,
This will take you over to my actual post on the 2 Crafty blog
& just scroll down.

I have also used another of their products,
"2013".
I love these & they have them in different years.
A great way to get the date on a page plus it doubles
as an embellishment too.

I have finished off with a few small "GEARS" which are in a
multi pack & are just the perfect thing to finish off with.

I have made a small pinwheel, thrown a bit of paint around,
done some doodling, sewing & added this fabulous
black & white striped ribbon from Green Tara.

Thanks for stopping by.
Until next time.

"You"

Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by. Today I want to show
this layout I have done featuring some of the NEW release pieces
from 2 Crafty Chipboard. I looooove this latest release, so many
gorgeous pieces.

First up I have used this new title
"YOU". Don't you just love this font ?
I have also added a few of these sweet
 little chippie "FUNKY HEARTS".

Next up I have used these NEW "DANDELIONS", which come
 three in a pack.
They are just so so pretty.

My last piece of chippie I have used on this layout are a couple of
the "TINY FILM STRIPS" which I have just tucked into the
top of my flower cluster.

All of these beautiful flowers & the jute bow are from
Green Tara of course.

Until next time.

My Green Tara DT Reveal for March
A Layout & A Bird Cage

Hello everyone, thanks for calling by. Today is my turn up on the
Green Tara blog for my monthly reveal.
My first layout for this months reveal is this page called...
"Our Sweet Girl".
  &

Obviously I have used lots of beautiful Green Tara blooms
as well as their green "Velvet leaves". I so love these leaves as they
have a wire through the middle so you can poke them any which way.
I also love to curl the wire ends around to create  tendrils.

Some nice background treatments with various mediums & mists.

Tucked in amongst all of these beautiful Green Tara blooms, I have
also used some of their "Satin Edge Organza Ribbon"
  to tie my bow.

This title "Our Sweet Girl" as well as the "Garden Bench Seat"

My next DT project for Green Tara this month is this
"Bird Cage". I did one of these a few months ago & I
still had a spare so I decided to decorate it too with
lots of beautiful Green Tara flowers, crystal sprays etc.

First up I used one of the many ribbons Green Tara have
available for the top of the cage. This one is a
 "Crinkle Organza Satin Edge" Ribbon.
It makes the most glorious bows.

This little bird was from a discount store & I think it cost me $2.50
I have used so many gorgeous Green Tara flowers on this project,
if you want to know the names of any of them, I have a full product
list at the bottom of my post over on the Green Tara blog.

To finish this project I thought I would add some Green Tara
"Silver/Acrylic Crystal Sprays" to add a touch of opulence.

Well that just about wraps up my Green Tara  post for this
month. If you want to know more details etc pop over to the

Remember to visit Green Tara on FACEBOOK too,
something NEW goes up every day.

Until next time

Two Leibster Awards
Plus My Top Ten Picks

Hello everyone, I have some wonderful news to share today.
In the last couple of days I have been extremely fortunate
to not only receive one of these beautiful awards,
but TWO.

The Leibster Award was designed to be a blog award in the pay it forward fashion. It is awarded to blogs that have fewer than 200 followers to encourage new visitors to them. Once you have been nominated, you award it to five other blogs.

The rules are: post the award on your blog, give the award to 5 bloggers who you appreciate that have fewer than 200 followers then leave a comment on their blogs to let them know you have given them this award.

The first one I received was from my dear blogland friend,
A visit to Fi's blog  is always so inspirational.
Fi does such beautiful work, so I was very flattered
that she had chosen to pass this award onto me,
Thanks so very much Fi.

Two days later my dear friend
awarded my blog yet another Leibster award.
Now Kim is on two DT's with me & I am always
in awe of Kim's work, she is always so very
innovative & edgy.

I LOOOOOOVE both of these ladies work &
so I feel very honoured & extremely grateful
that they chose my blog. Thank you both . xoxo

So without further ado I would like to pass this award
to some other girls who always have such great work
on their blogs & are always so kind & thoughtful towards others.

So the following five ladies I have chosen to pass
this award onto from Fi's award are......

Now for the second five I have chosen to pass
 on from Kim's award.....

Thank you again for all being such
special people.

My White With One DT Reveal
March Challenge
"Unforgettable"

Hello everyone, today I have my DT  reveal for
 This months challenge is

White  +  Brown  + Doodling

I have opted for soft browns with lots of textures & I have
used this sweet photo of a friends daughter.

For the doodling part of this challenge,  I did some roughly around
some tags as well as a row of doodling around the page just inside
 the stitched border.

I have used one of 2 Crafty chipboards NEW titles,
'Unforgettable". I thought it was perfect for my layout.

I have also used some of their little banners which I have
also  doodled on, & then did some hessian ones as well.
I also added this big hessian knot, to add some great textures.

This little Birdcage as well as the "2012"
is also from 2 Crafty chipboard.
All of the chipboard I simply inked with some
Distress Ink. Too easy.

I have finished off with some sweet little Green Tara pink roses,
as well as a few of their tiny brown daisies,
lots of distressing, some little birds thrown in for good measure,
& hey presto, all finished.

Hope you can find some time to join in this months challenge too.
Until next time.
